Promise: “But those who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” — Isaiah 40:31
Real-Life Story: She Chose Strength
She stood at the edge of a decision. Everything in her life felt heavier than usual — bills, a strained marriage, fatigue she couldn’t sleep off. She had every right to fall apart. No one would have blamed her.
That morning, standing at the sink with her coffee gone cold, she made a quiet choice: “Today, I will believe and trust God.”
She did not believe she was strong; she knew he was. She didn’t post it online. She didn’t tell anyone. But that choice changed everything. She got dressed, opened her Bible, and whispered a shaky prayer: “Lord, renew my strength. I don’t want to pretend today. I want to endure.”
That one choice became the hinge that turned her day. Not into a miracle moment, but into a walk-with-God day. Isn’t that the real miracle?
Three Scriptures to Anchor This Promise:
“Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”— Matthew 11:28
“The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not faint or grow weary…”— Isaiah 40:28
“My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.”— Psalm 73:26
Closing Prayer:
Lord, There are days we don’t feel strong. Days when our bodies ache, our hearts feel thin, and our hope seems buried under the noise of this world. You don’t grow tired. You don’t pull away. You promise to renew us. So today we wait on You. We lean into You. We choose to believe not because it feels easy — but because You are faithful. Renew our strength, Lord. For this day, and the next. Until we rise on wings again. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
